A volunteer-run marina on Refshaleøen — built by the members of S/K Lynetten in 1977, ten minutes from downtown Copenhagen, and open to visiting boats all season.

Margretheholms Havn is Copenhagen's big club harbour: hundreds of berths, a sailing school, and a community of sailors who dug the basin themselves in 1977 — and still run it.
You moor inside the harbour mouth, sheltered and quiet, yet minutes from Reffen's street food, Copenhill's rooftop ski slope and the centre of the city. And when you leave, the Sound is right outside the breakwater.
The practical part
- Position
- 55°41′N 12°37′E — inside the mouth of Copenhagen harbour, just behind the Lynetten wind turbines.
- Berths
- Pick any berth marked with a green sign. No booking or reservation needed — guests are always welcome.
- Bridge
- Margretheholms Bro opens for passage 16:00–07:00 on weekdays and all holidays, and on demand a few times during the day.
- Price
- 230 DKK per night, any boat type. 890 DKK per week. Slipway 80 DKK per launch.
- Payment
- At the harbour office during opening hours — or send an SMS or email, and we will get back to you.
- Facilities
- Showers and laundry, water and power on the bridges, diesel and petrol, mast crane and a 20-tonne boat crane. The DSRS sea-rescue station for Copenhagen is based in the harbour.
- Boatyard & shop
- Yacht Service (yase.dk) runs the boatyard on site — crane, winter storage and repairs — and the Lynettens Bådservice chandlery (baadservice.dk) covers gear, paint and spares.
- Restaurant
- Restaurant Lynetten serves Danish-French harbour food at Klubhus Øst — the first-floor club room with the view is open to guest sailors too.
Around the harbour
- Saunas
- Butchers Heat steams just across the water from the marina — 50 metres over the basin; the Glaecier sauna club is five minutes away.
- Reffen
- Scandinavia's largest street-food market, ten minutes' walk along the water.
- La Banchina
- Tiny quayside café with its own swimming jetty — coffee, natural wine and a dip.
- Copenhill
- Ski slope, hiking trail and climbing wall on the roof of the power plant next door.
- Art & gardens
- Copenhagen Contemporary's vast art halls and the urban farm Øens Have are both on the island.
- Lille Bakery
- Sourdough and pastries in the old shipyard buildings on Refshalevej.
- Harbour bus
- The yellow ferry stop at Refshaleøen takes you to Nyhavn and the Opera.
- Downtown
- Fifteen minutes by bike through Christianshavn to the city centre.
- The Sound
- Right outside the breakwater: Middelgrunden, the Flakfortet sea fort and the Swedish coast.
